Canadian authorities have identified the pilot of a single-engine Cessna that crashed in British Columbia last week, but weren't able to release his hometown.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police says 56-year-old Victor Andy Barbo died in the plane crash last Wednesday. He was the only passenger on board the Cessna 195 that took off on a flight to Alaska from Bellingham, Wash.
Last week, the FAA said the plane and the pilot's body was found by searchers 32 miles northwest of the Campbell River in British Columbia.
The plane was registered in Delaware.
