Red Door Interiors, a home-decor business that used to occupy space in downtown Olympia's Angelus building, reopened this week in the former Tea Lady location, co-owner Kathy Lathrop said.
Red Door occupies a street-level corner in the Capitol Theater building at 430 Washington St. S.E., she said. Lathrop and her daughter and co-owner, Lara Anderson, were based at the Angelus for more than three years but decided to move because they needed more space to sell furniture, Lathrop said. Their new home has about 1,150 square feet, compared with 850 at the Angelus.
Tea Lady, which had occupied a corner spot in the Capitol Theater building for nine years, moved in August into 3,133 square feet in the Wildwood Building at 2828 Capitol Blvd. S.E.
After Tea Lady departed, Modern Bath, a retailer of bathware and accessories, opened in the location in October but closed shortly thereafter. Red Door opened in its new location Feb. 3, Lathrop said.
