The Boeing Co. has finished reviewing the design of its new maritime reconnaissance and submarine warfare plane.
The new P-8I is headed for the Indian Navy. The plane is based on the Boeing 737. It’s a variant of the P-8A being built for the U.S. Navy.
The P-8I will be built at Boeing’s Renton plant. India is the first customer for the new plane outside the United States.
