A new study by a financial industry service firm, Fiserv, names Washington as the top housing market in the country for future growth.
The Fiserv study singles out the Bremerton-Silverdale area in Kitsap County as the country’s highest housing growth prospect.
That study predicts prices to jump in the Bremerton-Silverdale area by 44.7 percent by 2014.
Tacoma is the state’s second best prospect for housing price escalations, the study said, with the prospects for a 33.1 percent housing price gain by 2014.
Fiserv uses proprietary Case-Shiller indexes to generate its forecast. They include data covering thousands of ZIP codes, counties, metro areas and state markets.
