The good news on inflation in the area keeps rolling in.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics has released its latest compilation of the overall Tacoma regional Consumer Price Index – which is down 0.2 percent from April to June. Over the year, the local CPI is down 0.5 percent. Among the latest local details:
Grocery prices were down 1.9 percent for the two months, while food bought away-from-home and alcoholic beverages rose.
Housing costs dipped 0.2 percent, while household electricity jumped 1.3 percent.
