Mexican airline may buy from Boeing

With the demise of its rival Mexicana, Aeromexico is in the Puget Sound area this week on a shopping trip at Boeing.

The Mexican airline is looking at expanding its fleet with more Boeing 737s, 767s and 777s, according to Flightglobal. com.

The company is reportedly negotiating with its pilots and flight attendants unions about wage concessions with the incentive of fleet and route expansion if a deal can be reached.

Aeromexico’s prime rival, Mexicana, entered bankruptcy recently and has shut down its operations.
