Puget Sound Energy filed three rate requests with state regulators Friday that would raise average natural gas customer bills less than $2 a month and electric bills about $1 a month.
Two of the requests would reduce customer utility bill credits and the third would increase natural gas rates by 2.3 percent to cover increased costs of operating the natural gas system.
The utility is asking the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission to make the gas rate increase effective in February.
