Boeing's ever-popular 737 single-aisle jet continues to pace new orders for the year as the company this week posted orders for 50 of the airliners from unidentified customers.
Also, a Boeing executive said the company is considering yet another ramp-up of production at its Renton 737 assembly plant.
The company has upped its planned production schedule three times already this year. That plan calls for the plant, now producing 31.5 737s a month, to be building 38 planes a month by 2013.
