LeMoyne Coates lounges under a tree lit with fall colors Thursday at Marathon Park in Olympia. Coates says he's been coming to the same spot for years to soak in the sun and the view of Capitol Lake. Thursday's high temperature of 74 degrees set a record, passing the previous record of 70 set in 2004. Those who'd like to take in the glorious fall colors around South Sound should do so quickly. A storm is expected to move into the region Sunday, which could send many of the leaves to the ground.
