THURSTON COUNTY: Projects will affect I-5 ramps this week

These projects are expected to affect traffic in Thurston County in the coming week, according to the State Department of Transportation:

South Thurston County: Pavement repair will close the southbound Interstate 5 offramp at U.S. Highway 12 from midnight to 5 a.m. today and Wednesday, cause rolling slowdowns from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily through Friday and close single lanes from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily through Friday.

Tumwater: Geotechnical work will close lanes on the onramps to northbound and southbound Interstate 5 from Tumwater Boulevard from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Friday.

West Thurston County: Hydro seeding will close the left lane of Highway 8 from Summit Lake Road to Kennedy Creek Road from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday.

West Thurston County: Pavement-marking will close lanes in both directions of Highway 8 from U.S. 12 to U.S. 101 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Thursday.

East Thurston County: Tree-trimming work will close lanes in both directions of Highway 507 from Yelm to Rainier. The work is set for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Friday.
