THURSTON COUNTY: Projects expected to cause traffic delays

The following construction projects are expected to delay traffic in the coming week, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

Southern Thurston County: Barrier replacement and drainage work will cause rolling slowdowns between 5:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. weekdays on Interstate 5 near the Thurston/Lewis county border, and single-lane closures are planned from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. weekdays.

Nisqually: Repairs to the Nisqually River Bridge will close the left two lanes of I-5 near the bridge from 1 to 5 a.m. Monday.

Nisqually: Bridge inspection will close a lane of I-5 near the Nisqually River Bridge from 5:30 a.m. to noon today.

Maytown: Roadside vegetation work will close a lane in both directions of I-5 near the Maytown interchange from 2 to 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.

West Thurston County: Shoulder work will close single lanes in both directions of state Route 8 from Cooper Road to Rock Candy Mountain Road. The work is set for 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

Olympia: Roadside vegetation work will close single lanes in both directions of U.S. Highway 101 from Mud Bay Road to Black Lake Boulevard. The work is set for 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Southeast Thurston County: Tree-trimming work will close lanes in both directions of state Route 507 from 153rd Avenue Southeast to City Street. The work will be from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
