Officers from local law enforcement agencies and the Washington State Patrol will again be looking for unbuckled drivers traveling the roadways at night.
The officers will hit the streets for the nighttime seat belt patrols tonight. They’ll be part of a statewide contingent of officers from 70 law enforcement agencies looking for violators until June 7.
Officers are targeting drivers in the evening and a night because the rate of people killed at night in traffic accidents is four times higher than during the day, according to the Washington State Traffic Safety Commission.
