Cruise to benefit Estuary Association

The South Sound Estuary Association has scheduled an education cruise and exploration of some South Sound estuaries aboard the yacht My Girl, from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, leaving from the Port of Olympia’s Port Plaza dock.

The minimum donation requested is $75. All proceeds benefit the nonprofit group’s effort to create an interactive marine estuary-focused interpretive center in downtown Olympia.

Leading the cruise will be marine biologists David Jamison and Tom Mumford and Doug Myers, director of science for People for Puget Sound.

Reservations are required. Refreshments and a no-host bar will be available. For more information, call 360-754-7371 or visit www.sseacenter.org.
