Fort Lewis soldier acquitted of mugging UW students

One of the Fort Lewis soldiers accused of mugging students near the University of Washington was acquitted in Seattle of all charges.

A King County Superior Court jury acquitted 22-year-old Pfc. Raymond Russell Burrows II of Central Falls, R.I., on Sept. 18.

The seattlepi.com reported Burrows said he was the victim of misidentification and a rush to judgment by police and prosecutors.

He spent seven months behind bars.
