Plan for Shelton historic district to get meeting

The Shelton Commission will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. Jan. 4 to consider establishing the North Sheltonville Historic Neighborhood Local Historic District in the city.

The district would extend from North Fifth Street to North Eighth Street and from Alder Street to the alleyway north of Laurel Street.

The public is invited to make comments at the hearing or submit written comments to Mayor John Tarrant, City Commissioner Mike Byrne, City Commissioner Dawn Pannell or the Community and Economic Development Department at 525 W. Cota St., Shelton, WA 98584.

The hearing will be in the Shelton Civic Center Court Room on the first floor at 525 W. Cota St., Shelton.
