A workshop to teach homeowners eco-friendly techniques for landscaping around their homes is set for 6:30-9:30 p.m. Thursday, at the Yelm Community Schools Building, 107 First St. N., Yelm.
Participants in the free class presented by Thurston County Stream Team and WSU Extension’s Native Plant Salvage Project will learn design ideas to attract birds, butterflies, amphibians and beneficial insects while reducing maintenance headaches and protecting water quality.
