The following construction projects are expected to delay traffic in Thurston County in the coming week, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
Lacey: Single-lane closures are planned in both directions of Martin Way at Interstate 5 from 8 p.m.-6 a.m. today through Wednesday. Crews are working to connect a quarter-mile gap in Lacey’s bike lane network and to extend left-turn lanes at the congested interchange.
The sidewalks and shoulders are closed in both directions of Martin Way, but signs are posted to help direct pedestrians through the construction zone.
Olympia: Light replacement will close the left lane of I-5 between U.S. Highway 101 and the Tumwater city limits from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. today through Thursday.

South Thurston County: Single-lane closures are expected in both directions of I-5 at Maytown and Grand Mound from 8 p.m.-6 a.m. today through Friday. Rolling slowdowns are expected in southbound lanes on that stretch of I-5 from 6-10 a.m. daily, and in the northbound lanes from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. Alternating lane closures are expected from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. daily on state Route 121 at I-5.
South Thurston County: The restrooms at the Scatter Creek Rest Area will be closed from 8:30-10 a.m. Wednesday for waterline maintenance.
West Thurston County: Joint repair will close the right lane of northbound U.S. 101 at Steamboat Island Road from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday.
