Youth drinking is topic of two sessions

Thurston County advocates for teens will have town hall meetings to discuss underage drinking prevention March 31 at Capital High School and April 1 at River Ridge High School. The sessions are scheduled to run from 6-7:30 p.m. and will include free pizza.

Local law enforcement officials will join health experts to educate community members about the effects of underage drinking and develop ways to address the issue.

The meetings are co-sponsored by Together, Target Zero Thurston and the federal Interagency Coordinating Committee on the Prevention of Underage Drinking.
