A 29-year-old Olympia man was flown by helicopter to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on Thursday after suffering internal injuries in a two-car crash near Cosmopolis, according to The Daily World of Aberdeen.
According to the Washington State Patrol:
Jonathan R. Buchanan was driving north on U.S. Highway 101, two miles south of Cosmopolis, shortly after 6 p.m. when he skidded across the center line.
The Mazda that Buchanan was driving struck a southbound Honda Civic head-on. He suffered facial and internal injuries; the other driver, Laura L. Rogers, 43, of Raymond, suffered a sore chest and back. Both were taken to Grays Harbor Community Hospital.
Two Tacoma residents in Buchanan’s car, 19-year-old Steven M. Wilder and 41-year-old Diann L. Hiebert, suffered bruising and sore muscles. They were taken to Grays Harbor Community Hospital.
Failure to stay right of the center line was listed as the cause of the crash.
