CENTRALIA - The city of Centralia agreed Friday afternoon to offer incoming City Manager Rob Hill a contract worth $130,000 a year.
Hill, who is city administrator of Susanville, Calif., and has worked there his entire career, makes $123,000.
He told Centralia city staff that he would not give Susanville his monthlong notice until a contract was signed. Hill’s tentative start date is Sept. 1.
Hill replaces former City Manager Patrick Sorensen, who abruptly resigned March 17 — citing “philosophical differences” — and made nearly $127,000 annually.
