Rescue teams have helped a group of nine hikers who were stranded two nights on Western Washington's Mount Index.
King County officials say the group of five men and four women had gone on what was supposed to be a day hike Friday, but became disoriented in bad weather. The group became stuck on a ledge, but were led down the mountain after being reached by rescuers Sunday. No one in the group was injured.
Mount Index is about 40 miles northeast of Seattle.
