Man sought in 3 killings in Lewis County caught

Members of the Eastern Washington Fugitive Task Force from Spokane have arrested a man sought in last weekend's triple killing in rural Salkum , Lewis County Sheriff Steve Mansfield said.

John Allen Booth Jr., 31, of Onalaska was arrested without incident Wednesday evening at a residence on Gordon Street in Spokane and taken to the Spokane County Jail, Mansfield said.

In a statement, Mansfield praised that he called “an incredible effort from local, state and federal agencies in gathering, tracking and acting on information” that led to the arrest.

Authorities have said they think the shooter might have been trying to collect on a drug debt Saturday at a home in Salkum.

Killed were 52-year-old David J. West Sr., his 16-yearold son, David Jr., both of Salkum , and 50-year-old Tony E. Williams, of Mineral.
