Road projects could slow traffic

The following local projects are expected to affect traffic in the coming week, according to the state Department of Transportation.

Interstate 5: Various projects are expected to cause delays. For more information, go to www. wsdot.wa.gov/regions/olympic and click “Weekly Construction & Traffic Updates.”

Tumwater: A mobile vegetation-management operation is planned in both directions on I-5 between Tumwater and Lacey from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.

West Thurston County: Guardrail repair will close a lane of state Route 8 at Summit Lake Road from 7-10 a.m. today. Also, a mobile vegetationmanagement operation is planned in both directions on SR 8 between Wilson Road and U.S. 101 from 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m. today.

Olympia: Guardrail repair will close a lane of southbound U.S. 101 at the Perry Creek Bridge from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. today.

Eatonville: Utility work will close a lane of state Route 161 between Lynch Creek Road and Oroville Road from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. today through Friday.
