OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Secret Service has arrested a state Licensing Department worker in an investigation over illegal identity documents.
The Licensing Department's Special Investigations Unit helped federal authorities with the undercover investigation.
The arrest happened Thursday. Licensing Director Liz Luce says the agency is working as a full partner with the FBI and U.S. attorney.
The state says the arrested employee had worked at DOL for 10 years. In June, one current and one former DOL worker were arrested in a case involving the sale of ID to illegal immigrants.
