A 25-year-old Bremerton man was flown to Harbor-view Medical Center in Seattle early Sunday morning after a one-car accident on state Route 3 in Kitsap County.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the man was driving his 1995 Toyota Corolla north on SR 3 when the car left the road around Milepost 29 just after midnight. The car went into a ditch, struck a culvert and re-entered the roadway.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt.
The highway was closed for three hours, 35 minutes to investigate the crash. The State Patrol said it believes alcohol was involved in the crash, and the driver could face charges for DUI and operating a vehicle without a valid license.
