The Tahoma National Cemetery Support Group is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of vandals who stole 11 bronze memorial plaques last weekend.
Workers discovered the damage in the Kent cemetery on Monday.
The plaques, which were donated by veterans groups and set along a memorial walkway, were ripped from granite foundations. Three more were damaged.
“We want to get someone caught,” said the group’s vice chairman, Al Rasmussen.
Anyone with information on the thefts is asked to call the cemetery at 425-413-9614 or Rasmussen at 253-318-1818.
