FEDERAL WAY: Police seek person of interest in stabbing

Federal Way police are searching for a person of interest in Monday night's stabbing of a woman at a gas station.

The 19-year-old victim was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious injuries. She was stabbed multiple times in the chest and left side but was reported to be in stable condition, police spokeswoman Cathy Schrock said.

Officers were called just after 5 p.m. to a Chevron gas station at 35600 18th Avenue Southwest, where they found the injured woman and searched the area with K-9 units.

Schrock said investigators are exploring the possibility that the stabbing may have been a domestic dispute.
