Lynden man in trouble for shining light on copter

A Lynden man who pointed a spotlight at a Customs and Border Protection helicopter hovering over his home faces a federal charge of interfering with an aircraft.

FBI Special Agent Fred Gutt in Seattle told KGMI in Bellingham that Wayne Groen pointed the spotlight at the helicopter last September because it was disturbing him. The FBI says it caught him in his driveway holding the spotlight and wearing just his underwear.
