Woman surrenders, charged with assault

A woman who allegedly stabbed a 19-year-old rival at a Federal Way gas station surrendered Thursday and was charged with third-degree assault.

Jillian Carter is scheduled to be arraigned Jan. 5.

Police said Carter stabbed the victim six times in the chest and left arm, puncturing a lung.

The fight, which reportedly stemmed from a long-running conflict over the victim’s exboyfriend, broke out Monday night in a Chevron gas station parking lot.
