'Airsoft' gun incident disrupts 4th Ave. traffic

Traffic on Fourth Avenue East was interrupted for about 20 minutes Tuesday afternoon after Olympia police received a report of a man pointing a gun.

According to a news release:

A witness reported seeing a male in a gray Volvo point a black handgun at another occupant of the vehicle. Officers pulled over the vehicle at Eastside Street and Fourth Avenue.

Three occupants of the vehicle were detained while officers investigated. Officers learned that a man in the car had been playing with an “airsoft” handgun, which resembles a firearm.

No one was arrested.
