No one was injured in a crash Friday involving a Department of Transportation truck, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Also according to the State Patrol:
A car driven by Cecil Bergeron, 69, of Maple Ridge, B.C., was southbound on Interstate 5 just south of Trosper Road about 11:53 a.m. in a 1998 Chevrolet Astrovan when it veered into an adjacent lane and hit the truck. The dump truck was driven by Clifford Whitehill, 48, of Tenino.
The van sustained an estimated $2,500 in damage. The truck was not damaged. Both men were wearing seat belts. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
