Tacoma police have arrested two men in connection with the robbery Monday of a South End cellphone store.
One robber armed with a gun entered the Sprint Wireless store at 7925 S. Hosmer St. just before 2:30 p.m. and stole cash and phones. Meanwhile, the other robber kept watch at the door, police spokesman Mark Fulghum said.
After the holdup, the robbers got into a pickup truck and left. A witness followed the truck and provided information to police said.
Police and Pierce County sheriff’s deputies stopped a truck matching the description in the Parkland area and arrested two suspects. Both men were booked into the Pierce County Jail on suspicion of first-degree robbery.
