Several major roads in Olympia will have their stripes repainted starting Sunday (June 22). Public works crews will paint new edge lines, center lines and bike lanes throughout the week, according to the city.
City crews will have a “trail vehicle” that warns motorists not to pass the paint truck. The city urges motorists to avoid driving on or over lines while the paint dries. Motorists who get paint on their vehicles are encouraged to rinse off the water-based paint right away.
Major roads on the list include Martin Way, Pacific Avenue, Fourth Avenue East, Fourth Avenue West, State Avenue, Sleater-Kinney Road, Lilly Road, Boulevard Road, Harrison Avenue, Division Street, Black Lake Boulevard, Capital Mall Drive, 14th Avenue, Conger Avenue, Kaiser Road, Rogers Street, Kenyon Street, Bush Street and Ninth Avenue West.
The city will provide live updates on the paint striper’s location on Twitter at @OlyProjects.
