Robbery suspect confronts Sushi House owner, steals laptop and ‘night drop’

Olympia Police are looking for two suspects involved in a theft that took place outside the Sushi House restaurant in west Olympia Saturday night.

According to Olympia Police Sgt. Jason Watkins:

About 10:15 p.m. Saturday, the owner of the Sushi House was leaving for the night when he was confronted by a man wearing a black hoodie and bandana in the parking lot.

The owner turned to run, but fell, suffering minor scrapes and bruises. The suspect then continued to push the man down as he tried to get up, eventually taking a laptop bag, which contained a laptop computer, and the “night drop,” or money from the restaurant that is set to be deposited into a bank.

Meanwhile, a second suspect hid in the bushes.

Police have no description of the second suspect and a limited description -- black hoodie and bandana -- for the main suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call Olympia Police at 360-753-8300 or call Olympia/Thurston County Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
