A woman was transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia after her raft overturned Saturday in the Nisqually River near the River Bend campground.
The woman, approximately 70, was not wearing a life vest and floated along the river until another boat picked her up and started CPR at 5:05 p.m., according to Sgt. Dave Odegaard with the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.
The other two raft occupants — an adult male and a 14-year-old boy — made it out of the water unharmed, Odegaard said.
The woman’s condition was unknown Saturday evening.
