Update: Puget Sound Energy says failed electrical equipment knocked out power to as many as 1,950 customers in Lacey Wednesday morning, but now power has been restored to most of them with 623 customers still to go.

Power is now expected to be fully restored at 1 p.m.

About 2,000 Puget Sound Energy customers are without power in Lacey, the utility announced Wednesday morning via social media.

Power is expected to be restored at 3 p.m. The cause of the outage is still to be determined.
