Crews from Lacey Police Department, Lacey Fire District 3 and Homeland Security Region 3 will conduct an “active shooter drill’ on Friday, Aug. 1, at Saint Martin’s University, 5000 Abbey Way, Lacey.
The drill will take place in Cebula Hall, and is slated to begin at 11 a.m.
“This training exercise allows for local law enforcement and fire department personnel to practice methods and strategies that would be utilized by police and fire while on the scene of a real active shooter incident,” Lace Police commander Jim Mack said in a news release.
