The Natural Resources building on the east Capital Campus will begin tree removal and roof work Saturday. Fencing and scaffolding has been set up in preparation.
A dump truck and a crane will remove rock ballast roofing on the building’s west side, Capital Campus visitors and neighbors can expect noise and possible diesel odors. The project will replace 60,000 square feet of roof on the building.
Excavation and tree removal will begin on the building’s east side, several trees near the multi-purpose room will be removed in order to begin repairs to prevent water infiltration to the building.
Both work areas will be closed to traffic and are expected to last through November.
