Voters have time to cast ballots for Aug. 5 primary

Voters are reminded that there is still time to cast a ballot for the Aug. 5 primary races.

“If you haven’t returned your ballot, you still have time” said Mary Hall, Thurston County auditor.

There are 26 drop boxes across the county.

“You have until 8 p.m. on Tuesday to vote your ballot and take it to a drop box. If you vote and drop it in a box over the weekend, your vote will be in the first set of results on Election Night,” Hall said in a news release.

A list of ballot drop boxes is with ballot materials, in the voters pamphlet and on the auditor’s website, ThurstonVotes.org. The drop box at Lackamas Elementary School, 16240 Bald Hills Road SE, Yelm, is now outside of the school’s gate and is available 24 hours a day.

If you wait until Tuesday to mail your ballot, check the last pick up time on the mail box to ensure your ballot is postmarked that day.

If you need a replacement ballot, the auditor’s office is open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and until 8 p.m. on Election Night.
