Several fire districts and the state Department of Natural Resources were fighting fires in Tenino, the Rochester area and near Shelton, a DNR spokeswoman said Sunday.
And all three fires started about 2 p.m. Sunday, said Janet Pearce.
Here’s how the DNR described each fire:
Tenino: The Crane Street fire had burned about 20 acres, including one structure and several vehicles, as of 6 p.m., she said. It wasn’t immediately clear if the structure was a home or an outbuilding, Pearce said. Homes remain threatened, she said. A Thurston County dispatcher said two firefighters suffered minor injuries from the blaze.
