Possible explosive device found in Olympia garage

An Olympia woman was cleaning her garage Monday morning when she discovered a device resembling a bomb, according to Olympia Police.

About 10 a.m. Monday, the woman was cleaning her garage in the 2800 block of Langridge Loop N.W. when she found a metallic looking device in a cabinet.

The device was about six to eight inches long with caps on both ends and a fuse.

After an Olympia Police officer determined the device looked like a pipe bomb, it was turned over to the Washington State Patrol bomb unit.

Olympia Police have no information about a possible suspect or how long the device had been in the garage.
