The North Thurston School Board voted 4-0 Tuesday to adopt a $147.9 million budget for the 2014-15 school year.
Board member Laurie Davies was absent from the meeting.
The spending plan is up about $5.8 million from last year’s general fund operating budget, and includes money for a variety of initiatives including the addition of more counselors, social workers and technology in the nearly 14,000-student district. The district is adding two more administrators to its leadership team, as well. For more information on the budget, go to www.nthurston.k12.wa.us.
