A Tumwater woman died in a Labor Day crash on state Route 8, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Susan D. Wesley, 66, lost control of her car Monday while driving east on SR 8 about six miles east of olympia about 3:30 p.m. The State Patrol reported that Wesley was driving too fast for the conditions and left the road while turning a corner. The car struck some trees and rolled over, coming to a stop on its roof.
She was the only person in the car, and no other vehicles were involved. Neither drugs nor alcohol was involved.
Wesley was transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, where she died, the State Patrol said.
