Drunken argument leads to stabbing in Olympia

An all-night drunken argument finally resulted in a stabbing early Sunday in Olympia, according to an Olympia Police report.

About 4:15 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a residence in the 200 block of Pattison St. N.E.., where a 24-year-old Bonney Lake man had allegedly stabbed a 25-year-old Olympia man in the abdomen.

The weapon was described as a small, folding blade knife with the knife measuring about four inches.

A witness said that the two “were arguing upstairs and drinking for most of the night,” and that the “argument started over a disagreement (about) the military and got out of control,” according to the police report.

The victim was later transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital for an evaluation, while the suspect was arrested for aggravated assault in the first degree.
