3 taken to hospital after head-on accident in Lacey

Three people were taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital on Friday night after a head-on collision between two vehicles on Martin Way in Lacey.

About 10 p.m. Friday, a woman in her 30s was eastbound in an SUV in the 5600 block of Martin Way East when she allegedly veered into westbound traffic and crashed into a full-size truck, said Lacey police officer Ken Lundquist on Sunday.

The woman was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, he said.

The woman, a man in her vehicle, and the man driving the truck suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries, Lundquist said.

Lacey police cleared the scene about 1 a.m. Saturday, he said.
