Public meetings scheduled on flood hazards, salmon restoration in Chehalis River Basin

Learn about work that’s being done to reduce flood hazards while also restoring salmon and other aquatic species during two upcoming public meetings organized by the Chehalis River Basin Flood Authority.

The southern portion of Thurston County and Lewis County are part of the Chehalis River Basin, which was affected by the 2007 flood.

The first meeting will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, at the Veterans Memorial Museum, 100 SW Veterans Way, Chehalis.

The second will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at Aberdeen City Hall, 200 E. Market St., Aberdeen.
