Olympia Toy Run ready to ride for 37th year

The 37th annual Olympia Toy Run will bring thousands of motorcyclists to South Sound this Saturday.

Participants will gather at South Sound Center beginning at 10 a.m. and the ride leaves at 1 p.m. Admission is a new unwrapped toy or $10 a person or $15 a couple. Riders are asked not to bring stuffed animals.

The ride benefits needy children.

Drivers can expect delays and congestion as the ride progresses from South Sound Center to Pacific Avenue, continuing onto State Avenue. The ride turns left onto Capitol Way and right onto Fifth Avenue, proceding to Deschutes Parkway and ending at Marathon Park.

All riders and street legal bikes are welcome. Riders are asked to refrain from throwing candy during the parade.
