Rochester-area fire destroys outbuilding

A Rochester-area fire, thought to have been ignited by a wood stove, destroyed an outbuilding Sunday afternoon in the 16300 block of Case Road Southwest, according to West Thurston Fire.

About 2 p.m. Sunday, fire crews were dispatched to the structure fire, which also burned some trees and brush in the area, plus a well house and a small greenhouse, Battalion Chief Roger Stone said Sunday.

The fire did not burn the main house on the property, he said.

No one was injured.

Damage was estimated at $2,500, Stone said.
