Tumwater has hired Ursula Euler as the city’s new finance director.
The director was officially appointed Tuesday by the Tumwater City Council. Euler replaces Jim Hendrickson, who retired from the position in June and had been serving as the city’s temporary budget director, according to the city.
Euler started the Tumwater job Thursday (Dec. 18). She previously worked as finance director for the city of Lake Oswego, Oregon. From 2002-2009, she worked as a finance manager and program supervisor for Olympia’s public works department.
Euler has a master of business administration from the University of Washington and is a certified public accountant. She will be paid an annual salary of $121,500, according to the city of Tumwater.
