Thurston County seeks new members for Agriculture Advisory Committee

The Agriculture Advisory Committee in Thurston County is accepting applications for three new members. The members will advise the Board of County Commissioners on matters related to agriculture and the protection of land designated for agricultural use.

Two farmers and one non-farmer are being sought for the positions.

Committee membership is open to commercial producers of forest crops or food as well as people with an interest in the agricultural industry. Shellfish and poultry farmers are encouraged to apply.

The term length is two years, and no prior board experience is necessary.
